Reef Cushion different from swellsole pier to cushion coast

I bought a pair of these because I also have a pair of Swellsole Pier cushion and thought it would be the same. It's not the same! I am not sure what the difference technically but it feels less supportive on the heel and less of a cushion. I would be nice to have had the difference pointed out because the description just says "cushion". My bad I guess.
